MY WORK

DJ business card

DJ business card

A business card created for DJ A-BOMB, former local Columbus Ohio media entertainer. This concept was designed and created in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool. The idea is supposed to be of a turn table in the form of an advertisement to catch the eye of anyone looking for entertainment.

Iraq earthquake destruction

Iraq earthquake destruction

This piece was part of a series shown as a final for my portion of Ohio Dominican Universities senior show using graphic design elements to create a fine art piece. With the tweaking of brightness adjustments and different contrasts, this helped express the seriousness of the image. Blue and white colors capture the attention to draw the viewer into the theme of natural disasters in which this was of a horrible earthquake.

Earthquake in Mexico

Earthquake in Mexico

Altering this image from its original darkness, the work shown has been brightened with added contrast. A green tint has been added to give a small effect of colorism to the disaster as appropriate for drawing attention to the work. Lightning up the layer of green enhances the image so that the color doesn't look so heavy.

California forest fire

California forest fire

This image was lightened so small details can be visible to the viewer. Orange and yellow are mixed to give the lively burning effect of the fire rising from the ground up. Removed from this image were two firemen who were initially seen in the photograph.

Flooding in Mexico

Flooding in Mexico

The only colors that can be viewed are orange and blue from a high angle. The colorism is very odd in that when someone is viewing this image, they will notice something in one part of the piece but something els when looking at other areas of this work. I lightened up the photo using tools under image adjustments and took out the rest of the colors with the exception of orange and blue with the color function under the window setting.

Mini Coup advertisment

Mini Coup advertisment

This work is of a Mini Cooper advertisement with a strong visual message of going green. Some of what was created draws a lot of attention to the different shades of green applied and that the vehicle attracts drivers who are all about living an echo friendly lifestyle. This is a simple add that brings the message of what this vehicle can do for the environment.

Nike advertisment

Nike advertisment

This Nike advertisement shows wild colors along with classic ones. Anyone looking at this add can see the logos one by one in a row that represents Nike and how the colors work with each other to create a piece that is eye popping. Grouping these logos together shows that what someone is looking at is distinctively Nike with the tagline "Just Do It".

Billibong Advertisment

Billibong Advertisment

Using multiple blending options makes this advertisement have other images fade in and out. The blue color works well as this advertisement is supposed to appeal to surfers. The surfboard cut out images in the middle connect to consumers wanting to buy Billabong products and equipment.

Coke Green advertisment

Coke Green advertisment

This is a Coke advertisement that is eco friendly while having a strong message for recycling. The small green Coke logo on the bottom right corner captures the message of an environmental logo while also letting the viewer know this is an add for Coke-a-Cola. The people that are different colors in different positions are drawn to show that they are pro green.

Ipod advertisment

Ipod advertisment

Bringing together all the instruments in front of the Ipod on a stool is supposed to represent that Apple's MP3 player carries a strong, clear and loud sound from such a small device. Samples of different blending options give a cool effect on some of the instruments to show off certain styles that pop out. Using the gradient tool gradually gives the background an effect that moves from down from white to black.
